TRYOUTS
Teams are forming in the following age groups for boys and girls. Players participate in two tryouts, however, a third session may be added. If prior family plans prohibit attending both tryouts, attending one will suffice for this inaugural season. Please arrive early to check-in and get your FREE numbered Tryout Shirt.

Tryouts will include skill demonstrations through a series of drills focusing on:

• Throwing

• Catching

• Flag pulling

• Coverage

• Overall speed and quickness

• Sportsmanship and leadership qualities

TRAVEL FLAG YEAR
The Travel FLAG year runs from mid-August to mid-June, with a Winter break from December through February.

TOURNAMENTS
Each team will participate in six tournaments throughout the Travel FLAG year, with three in the Fall and three in the Spring. The tournaments are local, single-day tournaments. All teams will participate in the same tournaments whenever possible, which fosters a supportive and unified environment.

PRACTICES
Typically, teams will have two 90-minute practices per week on either Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays. PENN Athletics acknowledges that athletes may be participating in other sports programs. Flexibility may be provided for athletes with other commitments, at the discretion of the coaching staff of each respective team.

COACHING
We are seeking high-quality coaches for each team. If you would like to be considered for a coaching position with your child’s team, please click the appropriate box on the Tryout Registration Form. Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches receive a PENN Coaches Shirt and a PENN Sweatshirt.

UNIFORM
A full uniform includes two Game Jerseys, Pocketless Shorts, and Socks. The full uniform is approximately $130. Other optional items may be purchased, like warm ups, back packs and extras.

REGISTRATION FEE
The Registration Fee is $790 per player for the Travel FLAG year. It covers all team costs, including tournaments, fields, equipment, administration, and any other team expenses. Selected players are expected to also participate in our regular NFL FLAG League. Please register for that as normal. The regular NFL FLAG practice schedule and the Travel FLAG practice schedule will not conflict with each other. Some Tournament games may conflict with your regular NFL FLAG games. Selected Travel FLAG players will have their regular NFL FLAG Registration fee credited to their Travel FLAG Registration Fee - essentially playing for FREE in the regular NFL FLAG League.
